Benefit They're Real! Tinted Lash Primer

I haven't tried too many eyelash primers, but the few I've tried have all had the same problem: they were white, and when I put black mascara on top, my lashes looked grey.  I was excited to see Benefit come out with their new lash primer because 1) I love their regular They're Real! mascara and 2) it's brown.  It apparently contains ingredients that condition your lashes and can be worn on its own for a natural look or underneath mascara.  I've been using it pretty consistently for about 10 days now with my beloved CoverGirl Lash Blast original mascara.  The packaging and wand are the same as their regular They're Real! mascara.  I love the separation I get from this wand.  The formula goes on smoothly, and I always curl my lashes before I apply this or any mascara.  I get better results when I let the primer dry before applying mascara.

Left: one coat of primer
Right: natural (curled) lashes

Right: two coats of mascara

Left:one coat of primer and two coats of mascara again
Right: three coats of mascara

There is a noticeable improvement in fullness, separation, and volume with the primer when compared with the same amount of mascara on each eye.  But when I use an extra coat of mascara on the eye with no primer, it becomes harder to tell the difference.  The primer is nice and makes my lashes look awesome, but I can get a very similar result by simply using another layer of mascara.  I definitely like this primer and will continue to use it, but once it runs out, I'm not sure if I'll continue to repurchase it.  I would recommend trying it out to see how much of a difference it makes for you, as everyone's lashes are different.

Thanks for reading!  I would love to hear about your experience with this product.
